This is the 8th
sign of the Zodiac and is situated between Venus and Jupiter. Its lord is Mars,
who also happens to be the lord of the 6th house. To this extent, it must be
considered to be better than Arise. For, the lord of the Ascendant, in this
case, happens to be the lord of the 6th house, which is not as bad a house as
the 8th, comparatively speaking, for Mars becomes the lord of the 8th house of
Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, and Venus.
This is
considered to be one of the spiritual sign. The 2nd cycle of the nine Nakshatra
ends here, as the first cycle ends with Cancer, and the third cycle ends with
Pisces. Great spiritual are not born in this sign also, but somehow Cancer and
Pisces seem to have been more patronized by them, than this Ascendant. Perhaps,
it is because natural benefices own Pisces and Cancer while a natural malefic,
Mars owns this house. Besides, the 12th house which is indicative of moksha, in
the case of Pisces, belongs to Saturn, the planets of misery and sorrow, with
the aspect of the Sun and Mars indicating. That without real suffering any man
would attain salvation. In the case of Cancer, the 12th house belongs to
Mercury, the planet for knowledge, aspected by Jupiter and Mars, an indication
perhaps that without knowledge or Gyana, no man can attain salvation or Mukti.
In the case of Scorpio, the 12th houses belong to Venus, the planet of pleasure
and happiness, of refinement, love, and beauty. There are chances in this case
of a man devoting more of his time to pleasure.
One thing is
inquisitive that there is the aspect of Mars on Aquarius and Gemini, perhaps
meaning thereby that the native will fight a mental battle while trying to
discard the material pleasures of life and turning his mind towards the
spiritual side of life. These people are generally active, given to luxury and
try rise in life.
Lord of 2nd house & its benefits.
The 2nd house has
Jupiter as its lord, and this house is situated between Mars and Saturn and has

Lord of 12th house & its benefits.
The
12th house has the aspect of Saturn and Mars. No doubt they spend money, but it
is more often for the benefit of others than for themselves. This does not mean
that they are highly charitable because whatever expenditure there is, it is
more for their selfish ends. They are very highly pragmatic in their views. The
conjunction of the Sun and Mercury as the lords of 10th and 11th houses is a
high possibility and this, if it should occur without any other influence, will
be a significant drawback.
